Journey

Approach

Each of my paintings is a little world into which I invite you to dive.
I'm working on several series of paintings in parallel, each with its own style, the result of different itineraries and different pictorial projects.
I find in painting the same satisfaction and creative process as in computer programming, my first profession.
Perpetually in search of ideas, forms and aesthetics, my painting is initially a form of work on myself and on my family history, a form of surpassing myself, a way of disconnecting from the world and elevating myself in my creative bubble, with a plunge into the timeless space that takes us on a journey through our unconscious layers.
Sometimes I just want to capture an emotion or an instant of life, a sample of calm or grace, with the only limit being the imagination and the gesture of the brush.
I see myself as a beginner painter, and for the moment my priorities remain experimentation, learning, identifying my strengths and weaknesses and finding my own style.
Starting from the observation that "the suggested is stronger than the explicit", I sometimes try to make my work less figurative and tend towards a little more abstraction.
My painting is sometimes the result of meticulous patience and sometimes instinctive work, with a minimal sketch, a minimal path and relatively free movement. In this case, the gesture is more an impulse that imprints the mood and emotion directly on the canvas.

Tiny and messy, of course.
